Zendesk for Wordpress allows you to bring your helpdesk, powered by Zendesk, into your blog or site. Here's an overview of all the features:

• Single sign on with Zendesk's Remote Authentication

For an automatic installation through WordPress:

1. Go to the 'Add New' plugins screen in your WordPress admin area
2. Search for 'Zendesk for Wordpress'
3. Click 'Install Now' and activate the plugin

For a manual installation via FTP:

1. Upload the addthis folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' screen in your WordPress admin area

To upload the plugin through WordPress, instead of FTP:

1. Upload the downloaded zip file on the 'Add New' plugins screen (see the 'Upload' tab) in your WordPress admin area and activate.

• I don't have a Zendesk account, can I still use this plugin?

• What template tags are available at what do they do?

  As of 1.0 there is one template tag available:

  <?php if ( function_exists( 'the_zendesk_dropbox' ) ) the_zendesk_dropbox(); ?>

  This will place the Zendesk dropbox on to any template page you wish. Make sure it's as close to the footer as possible.

  Alternatively, if you want the Zendesk dropbox placed on all pages and posts on your site, you can choose this option from this plugin's settings page, rather than using the template tag.

• Why doesn't the "Convert to ticket" link show up on my comments?

  There are three possible reasons for this.

  1. The person that made the comment does not have an email address, in which case turning their comment into a ticket would be useless, as you would not be able to get back to them.
  2. That comment already has a comment against it, each comment can only have one Zendesk ticket associated.
  3. You are not authenticated into Zendesk via Wordpress. To do this, you'll need to login via the Zendesk for Wordpress widget. This can either be the tickets widget, or the contact form widget (where anonymous submission are turned off).

• I don't understand how Single Sign On with Zendesk's Remote Authentication works, where can I find out more?

• Do I have to display any dashboard widgets, the Zendesk dropbox or the contact form?

  Nope! It's completely up to you. If you want, you can just use the plugin for single sign on with Zendesk.
