Login and Logout Redirect

Redirects users to specified url after logging in, logging out OR both.

This is an easy way to redirect user to specific URL, on login and logout. This plugin adds extra option in Settings page (Setting>General), for specifying redirect URL for login and logout.

For automatic installation:

The simplest way to install is to click on 'Plugins' then 'Add' and type 'Login and Logout Redirect' in the search field. Click install and let WordPress do the rest!

For manual installation 1:

  1. Download the plugin zip file from WordPress Plugin repo
  2. Login to your website and go to the Plugins section of your admin panel.
  3. Click the Add New button.
  4. Under Install Plugins, click the Upload link.
  5. Select the plugin zip file ( from your computer then click the Install Now button.
  6. You should see a message stating that the plugin was installed successfully.
  7. Click the Activate Plugin link.

For manual installation 2:

  1. You should have access to the server where WordPress is installed. If you don't, ask your system administrator to help you out.
  2. Copy the plugin zip file ( up to your server and unzip it somewhere on the file system.
  3. Copy the "login-and-logout-redirect" folder into the /wp-content/plugins directory of your WordPress installation.
  4. Login to your website and go to the Plugins section of your admin panel.
  5. Look for "Login and logout redirect" and click Activate.


  1. Once the plugin is activated you should check Settings > General, to find options to add your URL's.
  2. Insert URL for redirect on login.
  3. Insert URL for redirect on logout.
  4. Save!

Before you deactive OR uninstall

I strong suggest you delete the redirect URL's from Setting => General and save the settings before you deactive or delete the plugin. Just the make sure the values are replaces with the default once.

  1. Where are the options to redirect? I could find any menu option. The plugin actually adds options in the settings panel. You can access them at Settings>General.

  2. I think I found a bug. How do I report it? Though I have tested the plugin as much as I could, but in-case you come across a bug, there are two ways to report it. First you can submit a issue via GitHub. OR You can let me know about it via the support forum.
