Custom Twitter Widget is deprecated and will not receive updates again. I recommend you install the new Awesome Twitter Feeds.

CTW allows you to add a Custom Twitter Widget to your WordPress theme. You can completely customize the appearance of the widget with CSS or select a predefined theme. It is also possible to select another options, for instance, the number of tweets which must be shown.

    CTW Settings.

  1. Upload the custom-twitter-widget folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
  3. Go to Settings/CTW settings and enter your API Access data
  4. Go to Appearance/Widgets and drag the CtwWidget to a sidebar. (Only one CtwWidget at the same time!)
  5. Customize it!

Check if you have added the Widget to an active sidebar in Appearance/Widgets.

Verify API access data (Settings/CTW settings)

What is API data and how can I get access to it?

In order to access tweets on your Twitter account, it´s necessary to register an application on the Twitter developers page. You must register this application to be able to call the API in order to gain access to your Tweets.

Is it possible to add custom CSS rules?

Yes. Go to Settings/CTW settings and select Custom CSS on Theme drop down list.
